Interview Mandy-the strive of a new foreign trade salesman

Last Friday, i went to the headquarter to attend a product meeting, which was organized by Mandy.


Mandy is a graduate in the intern of foreign trade salesman, this is her first order. After i attended the meeting ,i had a deep admiration for her working mind and attitude, so i interviewed her to help other intern study, including me.



June:


We know our company is a combination of business, quotation,designing and producing, in which salesman play an important role, can you talk about how to coordinate different departments as a intern?


Mandy:


I`m lucky to have the order,through which i an know  more about the whole process. more essentially, i could find mistakes and resolve it. I want to tell you the process i ever experienced:



June:


Seem complicated. I can imagine how hard it for you to coordinate customers and main departments, how could you make it?


Mandy:


Yep, it`s a big challenge. Leave alone expert communication skills, i can`t even fill in inner documents, such as inquiry sheet, manufacturing order. And the the product drawing just like a stranger i never met before. I`m nervous but at the same time, i feel there must be something valuable to learn.


It spent me two days and nights researching the structure drawing of product. I translate it and ask Mars(quotation department director) and Tom(designer),and record questions and then communicated with customers


As for inner documents, i collected all needed documents and asked linda(sales directer)directly until i figured them out.



June:


You`r right, clear thoughts make things easy. But there is another problem bothering-as far as i know, your customer is professional and captious, how did you deal with him?


Mandy:


Well, it`s true, their company is an agent of jewelry window display and the customer is an expert in his field. He often said some terminology i can`t understand and put some exceptional request. For example, they want to afford the sampling after the sample produced. I asked the technical director how to do it and he say it doesn`t matter, if the client don`t make it eventually.


At that time ,i`m thinking about what is a good company? What is an responsible leader?And i think:

A good company is willing to spend energy and money and time to train a new comer; and responsible leaders don`t be mean to bill the mistake of staffs.



I want some something more about my team, i `m very grateful to what they had done for me. Especially when the client ask me to alter the drawing and constantly quota, my team didn`t complain even though it increased their word load.
